About
The story of the ancient city of Jerusalem begins on a narrow hilltop some 3,800 years ago, when the city was first built by the Canaanites. 800 years later King David conquered Zion, the Jebusite fort in the city (Samuel 2 Chapter 5) and established it as the capital of his unified kingdom. This was the City of David - Ancient Jerusalem.

Following its destruction, the city was lost beneath the sands of time and forgotten. In recent years, the City of David has been rediscovered and excavations at the site reveal stunning archaeological evidence of First & Second Temple Jerusalem. Its stones share with us the story of one of the most compelling places in the world.

1. Pre-booking required !

2. Entry to Warren's Shaft and Hezekiah's Tunnel is permitted until one hour prior to closing time.
3. Tickets can be purchased up to 2 hours prior to site's closing time.

4. Ticket holders for the last entry time to Warren's Shaft cannot continue on tour through Hezekiah's tunnel.
