As if tourism is not problematic enough in the Middle East, Jordanian authorities have decided to make it harder with this ridiculous decision for a pre-arranged visa. DAY 1   Starting 06:45 am, pick up from Eilat hotels & transfer to Arava Border. Assisted border crossing to Jordan. Travel to Petra for a guided tour of the "Red Rose City". In Petra, walk the Al-Siq Gorge; follow its narrow winding trail to the legendary Treasury Monument. Enter the stone carved shrine then walk along the dry riverbed & explore sites found along its path. At the end of the guided tour, after lunch (included) when the rest of the group returns to the border, you will have time to explore Petra on your own. Meet with driver at the Petra gate & transfer to your Petra hotel for dinner & overnight. Optional "Petra by Night" (see details)

DAY 2   Breakfast at the hotel & proceed to Wadi Rum Nature Reserve, known as Valley of the Moon, for a 4 hours jeep tour in the reserve + lunch. Travel back to the border with an optional short stop in Aqaba. Transfer to Eilat Airport or hotels.  Estimated return to Eilat 17:00 pm
